Meredith Brown was born and raised in south Louisiana. She began her professional life as an enlisted Marine specializing in logistics. After earning a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Louisiana State University, Meredith accepted an officer’s commission in the Marine Corps. She spent 16 years on active duty as a Logistics Officer before retiring from the Marines with 20+ years of service. Today, Meredith works in the healthcare industry. She has a passion for cooking Louisiana cuisine and researching the rich history of Louisiana and Cajun cultures, which she has woven into her novels, A Cajun Journey and A Cajun Life, written under the nom de plume, C. Marshall Turner.
